The Living God is a Missionary God

Genesis is considered to unfold the blueprint for mission. In that it depicts both the purpose of creation and the responsibility of humanity in it and for it. Genesis begins with myths of origin to justify and to ground what is most essential to society and human life by recourse to the divine intent embedded in the primeval structure of things. Myths of creation show the intrinsic relationship with God’s acts of salvation in history. Thereby it stresses the soteriological meaning creation and the creative significance of redemption.
